I am an enamel jewelry artist. I begin with hand-cut or stamped copper shapes that are punched, pinched, or fold-formed to prepare them for enameling. I use a torch and the immersion method to fuse the glass to the metal. Each piece is heated in the torch and then dipped in crushed glass. This process is repeated 4-12 times. Surface interest is added with Millefiori wafers, frit & decals. Enamel components are finished with cold connections, wrapping dbl balled joins, and sterling silver parts.
