Denise Bunkert

Inspired by Gaudi’s mosaics and stained-glass windows in Barcelona Spain, Denise developed a new style of painting called, “Crystal Impressionism”. Working in layers of impasto oil paints like the impressionists, her paintings are infused with light and texture imitating nature. Both pallet knife and brushes are used to “carve” into the thick-layered paints creating a 3-D effect that continues around the edges of each gallery wrapped canvas.
