Emily Lavalier

This unique work is created almost entirely out of magazines. Beginning with a hand-drawn sketch, this artwork quite literally grows as layers of paper are added over hundreds of hours. String, beads, bunched up paper, twisted tissue paper, and other embellishments are added to create texture with the finished product. Originals can take up to 300 hours to complete and range in themes from nature scenes to abstract shorelines to bright home decor.
