My unique Encaustic Mixed Media process combines my etchings and detailed drawings with an array of materials all embedded within numerous layers of hot beeswax.

I layer rice papers, powdered pigments, intentionally rusted fabrics and more to create a surrealist distortion of sharply rendered imagery. The layers of wax give an illusion and depth, and the translucency adds history to each piece and softens the story.
