Neil Russell

I create art that echoes rhythms found in nature, from gaseous bodies in deep space to aerial landscapes to the ocean floor. I build texture and rhythmically apply carefully crafted color layer by layer to create depth. The works are truly mixed-media; a single piece might have raw pigments, sand, gels, resin, tempered glass, precious metals, and both oil and acrylic paints.
