Osob Abas

I’m Osob, a local Somali ceramic artist working primarily with b-mix and stoneware clay. I wheel-throw functional pieces — cups, mugs, plates, and chawans — finish them with glaze and fi at a local studio. I work in small batches and with new styles and glazes, making for one-of-a-kind pieces. I’ve also been experimenting with traditional Somali pottery techniques with vases and incense burners. I love creating ware that brings warmth and solace into everyday moments
