I have been designing, cutting and sewing hats for over 50 years. I have studied vintage hat making and updated the methods and materials to more modern techniques. I tend to design classic styles that are beautiful but also practical. My winter designs are warm and my summer designs are cool and provide shade. Some techniques I use are pleating, shirring, top stitching, trapunto, sculpting, and applique. Materials include wool, fleece, cotton, velvet, knits, yarn, sinemay and many more.
