I create realistic wildlife and nature paintings using acrylic paint and a combination of airbrush and paintbrush. I always like to paint on hard surfaces such as wood or masonite as I feel it is more durable and handles my technique better than canvas. I always start with airbrushing my background and then work my way up. I add layer after layer, building up my imagery until it reaches a place that I am content with. Knowing when to call a painting finished is always my problem!
